Dr. Eli Jerby, JMPEE Editor-in-Chief

Dr. Eli Jerby is a full professor at Tel Aviv University (TAU). Eli received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1980 and 1989 respectively, both from TAU. He was awarded Rothschild and Fulbright Post-Doctoral Scholarships and joined MIT as a Research Fellow at the Research Laboratory of Electronics, where he worked on high-power microwave tubes. He returned to TAU in 1991 and established a R&D microwave laboratory where he has studied microwave interactions with e-beams, plasmas, and various materials. His current research is focused on his microwave-drill invention. Dr. Jerby consults to the industry and leads several engineering projects contracted through Ramot Ltd.
