
The highest level of honor in the International Microwave Power Institute is to achieve the coveted Fellow Award. This award is presented annually to an engineer or researcher with outstanding qualifications and experiences in areas important to IMPI's mission.

Characteristics of a Fellow
An IMPI Fellow should posses the following minimum characteristics:
- An engineer or researcher with outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experiences in areas important to IMPI missions
- At least ten years of active IMPI membership
- Demonstrated evidences of significant contributions to our industry and the profession
Nomination
To nominate an IMPI Fellow, the initiating sponsor shall provide IMPI Headquarters with the information outlined below. The nomination may be submitted to IMPI Headquarters to the attention of the IMPI's Executive Director, Kimberly Thies at execdir@impi.org, or may be faxed to +1 (804) 559-4087. Please use the nomination form for submitting the application. The signed form, completed by the nominator, and a minimum of four (4) signed letters of support (Reference Forms) prepared by IMPI members or IMPI Fellow (but not the nominator) shall constitute the nomination.
